A majestic rhinoceros stands proudly in a vast plain. The rhino is so precise and detailed that we feel its presence even within this tiny artistic space.
The rhinoceros stands on all fours in the Indian style - each foot is clearly visible and placed accurately. Different parts of its body are accentuated: The horn (giving out a feeling of mystery), the eyes (expressing alertness) and the hair (looking shaggy). There can be seen a variation in the compositional handling of the parts of the painting which lends it an artistic look and makes it more authentic.
